Most of my ancestors came from the south east of England; Sussex and Surrey mainly. My maternal ancestors; the Pilbeams have stayed for hundreds of years in the same area, around the Burwash, Dallington area in East Sussex and the Terry family around the Kent and Surrey border area; Lingfield and Westerham. My paternal ancestors however came from further afield, Lincolnshire to Sussex and the Baldwins came from Cork, Ireland to various East London areas such as Hackney before ending up in Sussex.
